Cascade Station
Backgrounder

Cascade Station is a high quality, vibrant, mixed-use project at the “gateway” to Portland International Airport (PDX). Initiated in 1997, Cascade Station has brought the $125 million Airport MAX lightrail line to PDX, as well as $25 million of infrastructure improvements. At its completion, the 120 acre site will yield 800,000 square feet of retail space, 1.2 million square feet of office space, and 250 hotel rooms. Cascade Station is anticipated to generate more than 7,000 new jobs and $2.4 million in property taxes to the City of Portland. Now, through a joint effort of The Port of Portland, The Portland Development Commission, the City of Portland, Tri-Met and Cascade Station Development Company (Trammell Crow Company, Bechtel and CenterCal Properties), the project is poised to emerge as one of Portland’s premier destinations.
